Steve came to Bloomington in 1964 and has been a local businessman since graduating from IU. Hogan owned and operated Magic Touch Car Wash and Bresler’s 33 Flavors Ice Cream Shop at College Mall. Steve was first elected to the Bloomington City Council in 1979 and again in 1987. He served as the Monroe County Chairman from 1982 to 1991. He has been a general contractor since 1989.
Steve understands what it takes to create jobs and to meet a payroll. Steve’s experience in politics and small business make him an excellent candidate.

Matt Ubelhor has been working hard for Hoosiers in southern Indiana for nearly 30 years. Matt began his career in the coal industry in the mines. By 1991, Matt was instrumental in forming a new mining group. Black Beauty Coal quickly became one of the largest mining operations in southern Indiana growing from one employee at the onset to over 2000 employees by 1995. In 1995, Black Beauty Coal was bought by Peabody Coal, and Matt has continued to work for them in roles of increasing responsibility.
