Kevin Mahan has served in law enforcement over the last 15-plus years. In 1992, he became a patrolman for the Hartford City Police Department, a position he held until 1995 when he became Chief Deputy Sheriff for Blackford County and, eventually, Blackford County Sheriff. In 2005, he was called upon by Governor Daniels to build the newly created Division of Gaming Agents which transitioned regulatory responsibility for state gaming facilities from the State Police to the State Gaming Commission.
