David Yarde II

Representative David Yarde II is the newly-elected District 52 representative in the Indiana House. He serves on three House Committees - Elections and Apportionment; Family, Children, and Human Affairs; and Small Business and Economic Development. He has two sons with his wife Julie, who owns JY Design & Print Inc. in Garrett, where they reside. Justin, 26, is a registered nurse, and Dakota, 14, is an 8th grader. Rep. Yarde is the 5th generation to live on his family's farm, making him a true Hoosier. In his spare time, Rep. Yarde enjoys antique automobiles, hunting, and fishing.


Phyllis Pond

Incumbent in District 85 | Counties served: Allen     DeKalb    

First elected into office in 1978, Representative Pond has had the privilege of serving House District 85. She serves on the Ways and Means and the Committee on the Judiciary. She was the original author of the Primetime educational bill to lower classroom sizes. She has also authored the CLEO law which assisted minority students to attend law school. Rep. Pond works to remain connected to her community through activities such as: The New Haven Women's Club; National Order of Women Legislators; Biomedical Services of the American Red Cross; and as a Precinct Committeeman. Rep.


Dick Dodge

Incumbent in District 51 | Counties served: DeKalb     Steuben    

Indiana State Representative Dick Dodge was elected representative for House District 51 in 2004. He is currently serving on the Statutory Committee on Interstate and International Cooperation as the Ranking Minority Member and also serves on the Veterans Affairs and Public Safety Committee and the Public Health Committee. Before becoming a representative, Dodge served in the U.S. Air Force. Furthermore, Dodge has served Steuben County in a variety of rolls from County Commissioner to a Township Trustee.
